as your (universal “your”) kid(s) get older, you try not to be obsessed by what they do and don’t do. but you are. you think your child is superman whenever s/he does something new. so, here’s our superman who turned his bib around recently to actually try to be superman … and who loves celery and pizza crusts, shaking anything, throwing balls, saying his 1st 2 words, snow and reading. yes, yes, i’m sure he is reading at 10 months. at least that’s what my mom says i did and we know she’s not exaggerating at all, so why shouldn’t he follow his mama?

1st [documented] snow day
we’ve decided to rewrite history and call today maddox’s 1st snow day. yeah, it snowed on wednesday night, but we weren’t ready with the camera. maddox was pretty enthralled with watching it all. and we were enthralled watching him.

1st Christmas
my 1st Christmas morning was great. i liked all the craziness and esp having other kids around: my cousins! i tended to scream at them in happiness, of course, but it served to scare them sometimes. here i am with all my new teeth, showing off on the two different Christmas mornings i got to have.

santa 2007
i swear that this is NOT a picture of mom’s hand forcefully pushing maddox into the scary santa’s lap. it’s not. this was the best pic of all. he actually didn’t really care or cry about the santa but it was about 1000 degrees in this room so we all just wanted to get done and get out.
